Tangy and a little spicy with a fresh texture, our kimchi is very versatile. Customers tell us that they use it equally in meal preparation, as a side dish, as a condiment and more than half say that they eat it straight from the jar!
Kimchi is a dairy free probiotic which supports the digestive system and strengthens the immune system. Balancing good and bad bacteria also suppresses inflammation in the body. As an added bonus, kimchi is high in fibre and very low in calories.
Our recipe was developed in Korea and is made by hand by using traditional methods. We cut each full head of Napa cabbage into quarters, soak them in a sea salt brine, then each leaf is coated by hand with our special proprietary red sauce. The coated cabbage is carefully folded before being layered and tightly packed into crocks. This intensive multistep process results in a deep and even fermentation which creates the unique flavour of Cabbage Patch Kimchi. Finally, each jar of our kimchi is hand cut and packed, which gives the distinct and beautiful layered profile our customers have come to love.
